Blended-Learning Lifeguard Training for Waterfronts:
The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguarding course is to provide lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over in, on, and around the waterfront.
This blended-learning course consists of a comprehensive online course and an in-person training session. All participants must successfully complete their online coursework and the required prerequisite skills BEFORE attending the in-person training session. Upon successfully completing all course requirements & skills, candidates will receive their American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguarding, CPR for Profession Rescuers, and First Aid Certification.
