The community is invited to enjoy food, games, prizes and craft vendors during the American Legion Riders Chapter 254’s 9th Annual Hog Roast on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Proceeds from the event will assist the American Legion Riders Chapter 254’s mission to support veterans and the community.Activities will start at 12:45 p.m. on the grounds of American Legion Post 254, 6648 Taneytown Street in North Port, with a presentation of the Colors by the American Legion Honor Guard and the National Anthem.
Florida-based blues and rock band, The Fabulous VooDoo Kings, will perform on the back patio from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Other activities include raffle baskets, 50/50 drawings and craft vendors. Food is $12 per person.
Craft and merchandise vendors can reserve a space for $15 or reserve a space and table for $20. Ten spots are available. First come, first served. All space reservations are due by Friday, October 25. To reserve, contact Denise Okninski at (941) 999-8191.
The American Legion Riders is a program of the American Legion. More than 2,200 American Legion Riders chapters, organized by local American Legion posts and departments worldwide, actively support American Legion programs in every sate and in several countries overseas. American Legion Riders chapters are known for charitable work and have raised money for local children's hospitals, schools, veterans’ homes, severely wounded servicemembers and scholarships.
