The reason we are doing a gala is to create a bigger experience for what we’re doing with the Baseball Program. The purpose for the AL Baseball program is to be successful on the field, and to encourage success off the field. This is why we lead off with Darryl Strawberry. He’s got an amazing story. This is the thrust for the theme “Purpose Beyond the Uniform.”
The gala itself is intended to both raise money, awareness, and to give back to the team and supporters. The Gala itself is part of the experience. Everybody who comes to this thing will walk away feeling better as a human.
