The American Kennel Club's (AKC®) Canine Good Citizen® (CGC®) test is a certification program that evaluates a dog's basic obedience and good manners in a relaxed, non-competitive environment. 9. Reaction to distraction
10. Supervised separation
Do I and my dog have to attend an AKC CGC Course before testing?
While not mandatory, a CGC course can help you both learn the 10 required items for the test.
