Join us for a fun and impactful day of recycling as we host a Community Glass & Fabric Collection Challenge! Let’s see how much glass and fabric we can collect in a single day to help make a difference in our community. Here's what you can expect: 🌿 Glass Collection Challenge: Bring your glass items, have them weighed, and drop them in the Ripple Glass purple bin. Let's see how many pounds of glass our community can gather! The person who brings the most glass will win a special prize!
🕑 Ripple Glass will be on-site from 2 to 4 PM to help you learn more about glass recycling.
🧵 Phill the Box Fabric Donation: Clean out your closets and bring your old clothes, curtains, sheets, and other fabrics to donate to Phill the Box—a fabric donation station that gives a new life to textiles! Items will be sorted and sent to local thrift stores, with any unsold or unwearable fabrics being recycled into new products like carpet. For every pound of fabric collected, Southern Conservation Trust receives funds to support our environmental initiatives.
📸 Zero Waste Photo Station: Capture some fun memories at our photo station on the porch and share your commitment to zero waste with friends and family!
🌱 Zero Waste Walk & Exhibit: Stroll through our new exhibit on the porch and join the Zero Waste Walk to learn all about the Rs of sustainability: Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair & Rewear, Repurpose, Recycle, and Rot. Let’s make sure you can “talk the talk” when it comes to zero waste living!
Let’s come together to make a big impact by recycling and rethinking waste. We can’t wait to see how much our community can collect!
Parking is available at Walton Communities, conveniently located next to our Nature Center Annex building, where the event will take place. It's just a short walk from the parking area to the annex.
