Amelia Island Pétanque Club Announces Second Annual Charity ChallengeFernandina Beach, FL—February 12, 2026 – The Amelia Island Pétanque Club invites the community to its Second Annual Charity Challenge, where fun meets giving on February 22, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Central Park Pétanque Courts.
This pro-am style competition pairs club members with their favorite charities, raising awareness for the game of pétanque while supporting local causes through donations and community spirit. Spectators won't want to miss "BAR Wars: The Sequel," a hilarious showdown where rival watering holes compete for the coveted Shrimp Trophy—crafted by local artist Julie Delfs—aiming to dethrone last year's champions, the Mermaid Bar.
Eight prominent charities will benefit, including Nassau Humane Society (pet food/supplies), Paw Paws Rescue Ranch (pet food/supplies), Amelia Island Museum of History, Barnabas (healthy food), Chandler’s Hope (gently used clothing), Friends of Fort Clinch, Micah’s Place, and Take Stock in Children.
