We will be hiking this popular circular walk starting in Amberley and finishing in Arundel with its 11th Century castle.
We start out by walking north into Amberley (full of beautiful thatched cottages and a wonderful castle now used as a 5star hotel. We walk to the river Arun and follow that a short while and then leave it to head to South Stoke with its Ghurka built suspension bridge over the Arun. The picking up the river we follow it before climbing up into wild Arundel Park with its Hiorne Tower folly. We descend to the lake exiting the downland park by a wonderful pub by the river a mile from Arundel.
After stopping for optional refreshments we head to Arundel station with the options to stay a little longer for those who want to explore the old town.
We stop for a picnic lunch at a suitable point with views in the walk
