Looking for a way to turn Ventura into a giant game board? Urban Adventure Quest has created an interactive scavenger hunt that combines the fun of the Amazing Race with a two hour sightseeing tour of Buenaventura, the City of Good Fortune. Guided from any smartphone, groups make their way among well-known and overlooked gems of the city, solving clues and completing challenges while learning the local history and culture. The adventure begins in the walkable downtown area at the Museum of Ventura County and leads you to archeological treasures, a historic mission, outdoor art, and a giant fig tree. You'll discover historic sights and hidden gems of this coastal town while learning about the 3500 year history. The tour requires approximately 1 mile of walking. Using a smartphone as “the guide” allows participants to start when they want and determine their own pace of play.
