About Amanda Jo:
It’s often said that the apple doesn’t fall from the tree. Well, for Amanda Jo, it landed right next to the trunk. Having grown up around some of Nashville’s top country music entertainers, musicians, and songwriters thanks to her late father hit songwriter and producer Kenny Beard, Amanda Jo was bit by the incurable music bug at a very young age.
On a personal level, it all started for Amanda Jo with a baby Taylor Guitar for Christmas and a few piano lessons that evolved into singing in middle and high school choruses. Following high school, she performed and toured with internationally acclaimed Tennessee Tech University Chorale, while never straying from her country music roots as she continued to sing and record music with her Dad and his buddies.
After becoming a Christian in college, Amanda Jo began using her time and gifting to serve the church and her college Christian community and church by leading in worship.
While Amanda Jo’s sound has strong country music influences, she also enjoys singing current and past Pop hits, Alternative, Southern Gospel, and Contemporary Christian. In addition to her own 2013 CD, “There is a God,” Amanda has also sung professional background vocals on movie soundtracks such as “Act of Valor” in addition to Trace Adkins’ 2013 CD “Love Will” and single, “It All Adds Up to Us.”
When asked, Amanda will tell you that her music is a divine gift and a part of her very soul. Amanda is a young lady of faith and proudly uses her music as a way to share her faith with those in her caring company. Those who know her will quickly tell you that she is very approachable and appreciates any opportunity she has to meet and talk with you about her faith.
If you have the chance to sit and chat with Amanda, she will probably tell you that she has been blessed by opportunities to have sung on the stage of the historic Grand Ole Opry at the age of 5 years old and to be a soloist in Saint Peter’s Basilica within Vatican City in 2013. She may also tell you that she names all of her guitars.
“Andy” is her Baby Taylor Guitar
“Delta” is her 1st Electric Acoustic
“Black Magic” is a gift from Grand Ole Opry Member Trace Adkins
“Blonde Beauty” is a gift from Country Music Hall of Fame Member Jimmy Fortune of the Statler Brothers
If you have the chance to see Amanda and her guitars, you surely will not be disappointed. Ask her to play a few of her original songs, and then ask her about her CD…she might just have remembered to bring some with her.
“You can hear and feel her spirit in her ‘thick, rich, and easy to listen to tone.’ She glides effortlessly from her falsetto to full voice- it’s what I imagine it must be like hearing one of God’s angels sing.”
– Jimmy Fortune (from the Hall of Fame Statler Brothers)
“At 3 years old, Amanda blew my mind with her perfect pitch, singing ‘Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.’ I am so proud of her and am honored to have her singing on my projects. I am an Amanda Fan…” -Country Music Superstar Trace Adkins
