Hi everybody!ESN DTU Hiking events are back! After several hikes in all around Zealand our next destination is... Amager!
We will walk a section of the Amarminoen of about 10 km (https://backpackerlife.dk/amarminoen/) arriving at the port of Dragør (Dragør Havn), where we will conclude our little adventure. 🥾
Coastal stretches, open spaces and forests... 🌅🌲 Don't miss the opportunity to explore the wonderful island of Amager with ESN DTU!
This is the schedule for Saturday, September 20th:
➡️09:40. Meeting at Lyngby St. from DTU, you can get there by foot/bike/bus (for this last option, you can check the schedule on Google Maps/Rejseplanen). Please be on time!
➡️09:58-11:22. Travel by public transport to the start of the route in Amager. Remember to bring your Rejsekort ;)
➡️11:22-11:30. Walk to Kongelundsfortet, a former coastal fort built in the early 20th century to defend Copenhagen, now used as a nature area open to visitors.
➡️11:30-13:00. Introductions, get to know each other games, walking around Kongelundsfortet and lunch break.
➡️13:00-16:30. Hike to Dragør. It is recommended that you bring your food from home or buy it in advance, as it is possible that we will not find supermarkets halfway along the route.
➡️16:30-17:00. Chilling around Dragør town.
➡️17:00-18:15. Return trip to Lyngby St.
➡️18:15. End of the event.
Very important! Make sure you bring appropriate footwear, waterproof clothes and water.
