Meet the Moderator
David Warschawski
CEO, Warschawski + W Ventures Managing Director

David Warschawski has been a business owner-operator and investor for more than 20 years. Today, he serves as both the CEO & Founder of Warschawski, the #1 rated U.S. marketing communications agency, and the Managing Director & Founder of W Ventures.

Warschawski has been named “U.S. Small Agency of the Year” three years in a row and has won more than 200 industry awards for its work. For 10 consecutive years, Warschawski has been ranked as one of the top 30 “Best U.S. Agencies To Work For” and one of the top 10 “Best U.S. Small Agencies To Work For,” including being named the #1 “Small U.S. Agency To Work For.” Recently, Warschawski was granted the prestigious Google Certified Agency Partner designation, and now has more than 10 certified Google Certified Analysts on staff.

W Ventures is a one-of-a-kind accelerator that combines three elements: the ability to do marketing communications work in exchange for equity, the financial backing to write large checks coupled with the connections of a VC firm, and a beautiful incubator workspace and living quarters for its founders. W Ventures focuses on high growth potential companies based in or willing to relocate to the Baltimore/Washington region.

He serves as a professor for the Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business, and he co-authored the book, “Building Customer Relationships Through Public Relations,” published by Aspatore Books. David has been named a “Most Admired CEO” by The Daily Record and also has been named to numerous “40 Under 40” lists.

Moni Oloyede
VP of Marketing Technology, AMA Baltimore

As VP of Marketing Technology for AMA Baltimore, Moni Oloyede is responsible for enhancing the digital marketing capabilities, optimizing marketing processes, and leveraging data-driven insights to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Moni is a thought leader in the marketing technology and digital marketing space. She’s been featured on various podcasts and spoken at several marketing conferences over the years. Moni’s passion for learning and staying ahead of industry trends keeps her at the forefront of marketing innovation. She thrives on exploring new technologies and marketing tools, always seeking ways to optimize and enhance her strategies.

Moni has a BA in American Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a Master’s degree in Marketing from The Johns Hopkins, Carey Business School.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Moni is passionate about mentoring and empowering aspiring marketers. She takes pride in giving back to the community and inspiring the next generation of marketing professionals to dream big and make a positive impact in the world.

Wally Pickard
Vice President of Marketing and Communications, World Trade Center Institute

Wally joined the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) in 2010 as a marketing intern and now serves as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Before joining WTCI, he was a marketing intern at the Emerging Technology Center in Baltimore, where he managed the organization’s website and assisted with social media and marketing efforts.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts, with a concentration in painting and multimedia design, from Tufts University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Baltimore. The Baltimore native served as a weekend mentor for Bridges, an academic and cultural enrichment program for East Baltimore youth, is on the Board of Directors for Blue Water Baltimore, the marketing committee for the Gilman School, and the Climate Committee at the France Merrick Foundation.

Fun fact: Wally produced a hip-hop song that was distributed internationally.

Sam Tomlinson
EVP, Warschawski + W Ventures Managing Member

Sam Tomlinson brings a background spanning finance, economics, business & marketing – making him a decidedly different kind of marketer – one with a singular focus of making the business better. As EVP at Warschawski, Sam leads strategy, along with the agency’s award-winning digital & analytics teams. Sam’s approach to marketing flows from his unique combination of financial + operational expertise, analytics knowledge, performance marketing know-how and deep understanding of brand – with each strategy designed to challenge the status quo, uncover hidden opportunities, develop novel strategies and build scalable systems to capitalize.

As a thought leader and pioneer in the digital and data marketing spaces, Sam is frequently sought out for comment and expertise. He is regularly invited to speak at major regional, national and international conferences, including HeroConf, SMX, PRSA ICON, Search Marketing Summit (AU), AMEC & The Digital Analytics Association, among others. He is regularly quoted by prominent national, regional and industry publications. Sam was recently recognized as one of PPC Survey’s Top 50 Most Influential PPC Experts in 2024.

In addition to his work at Warschawski, Sam is a Managing Partner at W Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund, an advisor to multiple early-stage startups, and a member of the faculty at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Georgetown University + Cabrini University.
