FREAK HEAT WAVES (CAN) Composed of Steven Lind and Thomas Di Ninno, Freak Heat Waves are a Victoria, BC-based duo who have been crafting fuzzy, groovy, psychedelic, and unpredictable music that explores a wide range of genres ever since releasing their self-titled debut album in 2012. Following releases on Hockey Dad Records and Telephone Explosion Records, this year they released their 5th full-length album Mondo Tempo on revered Canadian label Mood Hut Records to tackle a sweet blend of dream-pop, trip-hop, dub, downtempo, house, disco, and other cerebral underground styles.
