An Alzheimer's/Dementia caregiver support group meets on the third Thursday of each month in the Huron Christian Church library (777 21st St. SE in Huron) from 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Registration is not required and the group is free of cost and open to anyone who has a loved one family member or friend living with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia.
Alzheimer’s Association support groups conducted by trained facilitators are a safe place for caregivers to develop a support system exchange practical ideas on challenges and possible solutions talk through issues and ways of coping and share feelings needs and concerns. Those who attend the support group will also learn about community resources and those of the Alzheimer’s Association.
