đ¶ Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 5, 2025, 7 am-11 am, Oronoco Bay Park, 100 Madison St, Alexandria, VA. Thatâs when weâll strut our stuff at the fourth annual ALX Dog Walk event. Dog lovers (with or without a pup!) will take a 2-mile dog walk down historic Union St in Old Town Alexandria, looping back along the Potomac River to Oronoco Bay Park for a Sustainability Festival filled with eco-friendly organizations showing off their planet-friendly goods and services.
Plus, along the 2-mile Walk Route, weâve got some awesome surprises in store, including a lively performance from members of The Alexandria Singers!
NBC4 Washingtonâs Chuck Bell keeps the fun rolling as our morning emcee, with DJ tunes, a dog show, an obstacle course, park games, a photo booth, bubbles floating through the air, a dog tattoo artist, kidsâ activities, a healthy bake sale (compliments of the Board of Lady Managers of INOVA Hospital!), free coffee (just bring your cup!), and more!
Every participant receives a drawstring goodie bag filled with a sustainably sourced t-shirt and dog bandana, and eco-friendly treats.
To make it even more exciting, the Spring2ACTion Nonprofit Village will showcase up to 40 nonprofits, each hosting a table to highlight their important work. (Spring2ACTion, Alexandriaâs Giving Day, hosted by ACT for Alexandria happens on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.)
