The Alumni Impact Series is a way for LeadSGF alumni and the broader community to stay connected through engaging, high-impact learning experiences, inspired by the energy and depth of Signature Class program days. These events will take a deeper look at one of Leadership Springfield's class themes and how we can impact and contribute to the Springfield Community. Our February Alumni Impact Series event will focus on the theme of Civic Awareness, Public Service, and Public Safety. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how local government, law enforcement, and emergency management work together to protect and serve the Springfield community, as well as how individuals can take action on the local issues that matter to them.
You’ll hear directly from Springfield Mayor Jeff Schrag and City Manager David Cameron as they share how they collaborate in public service and invite residents into meaningful civic engagement with Councilwoman Monica Horton. Their conversation will highlight practical ways community members can get involved, and how individual participation helps shape the Springfield we all care about.
The event also includes an active shooter response training with Springfield Police Department Lieutenant Eric Schroeder and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Greene County Office of Emergency Management and 911 Call Center, illustrating how public safety professionals, local government, and informed citizens work together in civic service.
With city leadership front and center, this event offers a rare opportunity to learn, connect, and see how your voice, time, and leadership can make a tangible impact on our community.
