Welcome again poets, scribes, truthseekers and warriors of wit, lyricists and pathological liars to Alternator Poetrys mic open for the recited word! A night of sharing thoughts and feelings in the formless to formful art of poetry in a warm and welcoming space that encourages all original works. This event will feature local legend Mr Vince Stead.Vincent Stead regularly performs at poetry events around the Northern Rivers and Southern Queensland, blending traditional and contemporary styles of poetry.
He has won People’s Choice Award at the Nimbin Performance Poetry World Cup [[2016, 2019] and been a finalist 2022, 2023, 2024,
Vincent has been a NSW Finalist in the Australian Poetry Slam [2016, 2022, 2023, 2024].
He assists in the setting up and running of poetry events throughout the year, is an MC at Vocable Poetry in Lismore the third Thursday of every month.
His first book ‘SIMPLE POEMS FOR COMPLEX PEOPLE-VOLUME ONE’ has just been released on Amazon.
