Alternative Spirits & Flavors in Tropical Cocktails
UnderTow welcomes special guest Jeanie Grant all the way from The Kon Tiki in Oakland! This class will dive into where tropical and exotic (also known as “Tiki”) cocktails started, and how we can continue to evolve the ingredients used to keep up with the modern world.
During this Class you will receive 3 sample cocktails to sip on as well as be able to create your own spice syrup and take home a custom “grog kit”.

Hailing from Oakland, Jeanie Grant has had an incredible career working for and expanding some of the best bars on the west coast. Specializing in exotic cocktails and hospitality, her origin story starts in the unlikely setting of a tiki-themed karaoke bar in Seattle. Today she is busy crafting modern tropical delights alongside the team at The Kon-Tiki in Oakland and can also be found shaking drinks at neighborhood bars Tallboy & Lowbar. Jeanie’s greatest love is being on the road seeking knowledge about spirit production and bringing rogue hospitality to friends and strangers alike.
