Lead your expeditions Beyond the Gates in this first core set for Altered, a brand new and innovative trading card game.
As one of the Heroes of your Faction, you and your Companion have been sent to discover and bring balance to the nearby regions altered by magical winds. Reunite your Hero and your Companion anywhere on the adventure map to win the game!

Cost: $20.00 Pre-Registration / $25 Day of Event Registration (Pre-Registration will end at 11:30PM 2/28/2025)
Format: This will be a Standard format event.
Players will need a constructed deck following Altered Standard rules. Game knowledge/experience required.
Decklists are not required but deck checks may happen throughout the event to confirm legality.
Event Time: Check in - 12:00PM / 12:30PM - Start players meeting and prepare for Round 1.
All players are paired for number of rounds of Swiss play based on overall total participants. Swiss rounds are Best of 1 with a 30min time limit. Pairings based on match points.
- Round win: 3 match points
- Round loss: 0 match points
- Round draw: 1 match point
After completion of the final round, the top 8 players based on record and tiebreakers will play in a single elimination bracket. Top 8 rounds are Best of 3.

Everyone will receive one Promo pack, one booster pack of Trial by Frost, and two KS Edition Beyond the Gates Booster Pack for participation.
1st Place - 1 Trial By Frost Booster Box
2nd Place - 16 Packs of Trial by Frost
3rd/4th Place - 8 Packs of Trial by Frost
All of Top 8 will receive one additional KS Edition Beyond the Gates Booster Pack
The top finishing player for each faction will receive an additional 2 packs of Trial by Frost and a pack of faction tokens from Gamegenic. If a player wishes they can take another two retail booster packs in place of the token set.
