About the poets
V. Kali grew up on Shakespeare and the aural/oral tradition of BLACK CULTURE in the Americas. A member since 1992 and the Coordinator of the World Stage Anansi Writers Workshop from 2011. She authored a volume of poems entitled, HYMN, (World Stage Press, 2016). She is a vegan chef, her upcoming work is called Poetry In A Pot.
Mike Bonifer, poet and storyteller, is the editor of Shooting Stars At Sky — The Poetry of Play, a forthcoming anthology of sports poems to be released this fall by Mama’s Kitchen Press. His collection of poems, White Men My Age, will be published by World Stage Press in 2025.
Eternal Mind twists, bends, breaks, chops, mixes and poetically shapes his world into spoken word art — a responsibility he was taught to teach the youth. Through hard-hitting imagery drenched in thought-provoking style, Eternal Mind unapologetically speaks his language.
Jessica D. Gallion is an author and poet from Natchitoches, Louisiana, raised in Los Angeles, California, where pen and poetry became her best friends. Her debut poetry collection, Can’t No Woman, Woman Like Me, was published by World Stage Press in 2017.
S. Pearl Sharp works words, conjures visions. She has released five volumes of poetry and three poetry videos, recent titles being What You Left Behind and Blood Bank. Her non-fiction includes Black Women For Beginners. She has been named a “cultural innovator” by the City of Los Angeles.
Conney D. Williams is a poet, actor, community activist, and performance artist with three collections of poetry: The Distance of Observation (2021), Leaves of Spilled Spirit from an Untamed Poet (2002), and Blues Red Soul Falsetto (2012).
