Founded in Alto Adige in 2005, Alps Move is a dance theatre festival that has developed in close relationship with the Alto Adige Dance Collective. Its aim is to host and promote the local contemporary dance and experimental theatre scene with performances in venues throughout the province and the creation of a network that reaches out to other regional, national and European theatre groups and organizations.
Each year Alps Move stages shows and performances created by choreographers and dancers originally from Alto Adige, many of whom now pursue their careers further afield. Regardless of age, all these artists are invited to work on new projects to be performed – and often premiered – back in Alto Adige during the October-November Festival.

In Strategies to stay alive Marion Sparber mixes video, dance, theatre and poetry with a touch of irony, so as to involve the audience in a collective struggle for survival.
Marion Sparber received her dance training at Varium and Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich. Since 2014, she has been creating her own work. Her choreographies are a playful combination of highly physical dance, dance theatre, live music, and video and photo installations, and have been performed at numerous international theatres and festivals around the world.

Canon of Love challenges the usual portrayal of relationships, replacing unachievable ideals with a new form of alliance that is amorous, free, peaceful and feminist.
Margherita Dello Sbarba and Alexandros Anastasiadis are based in Brussels, where they work with their newly founded company, uncanny paradise. Their poetic language emerges from the presence of the body in dialogue with social and political elements, evoking empathy, resilience, and a sense of community. Their first collaborative project, A Small World, is currently on tour throughout Belgium.

Intrigued by the image of old age, Lay Next to Me delves into our relationship with time, regret and the fear of ageing.
Dancer, performer and teacher based in Brussels, Giuia Tornarolli began her freelance career after studying at NSCD and SEAD. She works with international artists such as Martin Kilvady, Edivaldo Ernesto and Panorama Dance Theater. Since 2019 she has been developing her own idiom as an artist through performances designed for different cultural contexts. She also leads workshops on improvisation and body education.
