Maxx Eddy is a stand-up comedian bringing his work-in-progress one-boy show to the Lyric Hyperion for one night only!
Maxx was selected as a New Face at the 2025 Just for Laughs Festival, he appeared as a featured performer at the 2024 Netflix is a Joke Festival, and he has recorded sets with Don’t Tell Comedy and Netflix is a Joke Radio. And now, he’s bringing his craziest story to the stage in his newest show, Alpha Boy.
Maxx has always aspired to be an alpha male, despite many obstacles to mandom: he was a pipsqueak, a closeted bisexual, and he lived with his mom until he was 27. One day, he meets a beautiful (and very real) Brazilian woman on the internet, and he seizes the opportunity to rendezvous with her and become what he’s always wanted to be: an international ladies’ man. But when his insecurities and failings as a man begin to sour the romantic getaway, Maxx has to reevaluate what a real man is and whether he can ever measure up.
