AlpaKa is back at Bar La Shop at the end of November for yet another edition of AlpaKa Shop, your local psychedelic and dark minimal techno dance session.
This one is really special, as we invite one of our favorite up and coming artists; SAMMY LEGS, flying in from San Diego.
If you're into trippy, dirty techno and house beats, Sammy has got the goods.
His genre-blending, boundary-pushing sound has quickly captivated the global techno underground. Sammy’s music is as dynamic as it is original, and we’re beyond stoked to welcome him to Canada for the first time ever!

Legs took an unconventional approach to where he is today. He discovered his penchant for music while studying computer science at Cal, though most of that time was spent DJing college parties and local clubs. The more he delved into the nightlife scene and the underground, the more he realized he was destined for a different sound than he could pursue in his current scene. So he took a 7 month hiatus from California and found himself in Berlin with a small studio and a laundry list of inspiration to pull from the nooks and crannies of its world- renown nightlife scene. After returning from Berlin he finished up his degree at Cal and turned to LA for the next chapter of his musical career - studying at Icon Music

Legs a pris un chemin peu conventionnel pour arriver où il est aujourd'hui. Il a découvert son penchant pour la musique en étudiant l'informatique à Cal, bien qu'il ait passé la plupart de son temps à mixer dans des soirées universitaires et des clubs locaux. Plus il explorait la scène nocturne et l'underground, plus il réalisait qu'il était destiné à un son différent de celui qu'il pouvait poursuivre dans sa scène actuelle. Il a donc pris une pause de 7 mois en Californie et s’est retrouvé à Berlin avec un petit studio et une liste infinie d'inspiration tirée des recoins de sa scène nocturne mondialement célèbre. À son retour de Berlin, il a terminé son diplôme à Cal et s'est tourné vers LA pour la prochaine étape de sa carrière musicale - en étudiant à Icon Music.
