Visit our farm and walk your very own alpaca or llama for an experience you will never forget! This tour is open to all members of the public. Group size 12 people!
Come and walk one of alpacas or llamas across our farm, around the dam and back again, with lots of stops along the way for photos! Followed by a hand feeding session where you will get to feed our happy herd from a bucket filled with yummy alpaca and llama treats!
During the guided tour will enjoy an exciting and educational talk on the history of alpacas and llamas, learn about their quirky personalities and gain an insight into what is involved to get the fibre from the paddock to a finish product. You will finish off the tour with a complimentary morning tea (tea/coffee/soft drink and cake/slice of the day with berries and cream) to enjoy while you watch our herds grazing in their paddocks
Experience includes:
- Each guest receives one alpaca or llama companion.
- Embark on a scenic walk to our picturesque dam alongside your alpaca or llama (approx. 30 minutes).
- Enjoy quality time patting, cuddling, and capturing memorable photos with your alpaca or llama.
- Engage in a hands-on feeding session with another herd of alpacas with a bucket of alpaca food (approx. 30 minutes).
- Benefit from the expertise of our tour guide, ready to answer all your questions about alpacas and llamas.
- Gain insights into alpaca farming in Australia and the remarkable - Complete your visit with a stop at The Blackwattle Farm Shop, brimming with yarns, wools, fibre, roving, gift items, toys, and an array of delightful goodies.
Duration: 1.5 hours (approx.)
Tour Prices:
- $50 per person aged 3 and above
- $15 for children aged 1-2 years
- Free for all children under 12 months
Please note: All children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Children 7 years old and under, and those who are not confident, will be required to walk an alpaca or llama using a second lead.
