About the Instructor:
In 1999, Rick Barboza co-founded Hui Ku Maoli Ola, a company specializing in native Hawaiian plants and landscaping. His passion lies in restoring these precious ecosystems to urban and residential areas, using species that would have naturally thrived there.
He is a dedicated conservationist with a deep-rooted love for Hawaii's natural heritage Kamehameha Schools graduate (1993), he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology from the University of Hawai'i (1999), focusing on the state's unique plants and animals.
What to bring:
You should bring a notebook and pencil or pen to take notes during class. Mosquito repellant is highly recommended, even though the class will be held indoors.
