About this Event
ALLY LAB's popular allyship workshop series is back for 2025!
This year, our workshops will focus on the challenges of maintaining active, effective allyship in the face of backlash against Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives and a social movement aimed at stifling efforts to build inclusive cultures and workplaces. The series includes:
Allyship Through Adversity - February 18, 2025
This session focuses on building resilience and maintaining active allyship in the face of backlash against DEI initiatives. We'll explore ways for allies to support and sustain progress while maintaining our own mental health and resilience.
Allyship Skills 2 - May 20, 2025
This update to our most popular workshop features new scenarios and exercises to help allies imagine creative responses to common workplace scenarios. We'll explore ways to act in the moment and to achieve longer-term, strategic change.
Empathy for Allies - August, 19, 2025
Empathy is both one of the most crucial and one of the most misunderstood allyship skills. Created in partnership with Others Unlimited, this workshop explores ways for allies to understand and practice empathy to become better, more active allies.
The Joy of Allyship - October, 21, 2025
Happiness is an especially valuable commodity in difficult times. For allies, cultivating joy and connection is a strategy for building resilience. Created in partnership with Project More Happy, this session leverages happiness science to explore ways that allies can build joyful relationships and maintain resilience in the face of adversity.
