About this Event
This is a hybrid event.
Master artist and teacher Lama Gyurme is delighted to introduce the art of torma making and the offering practice for the Nagas.
The Naga Puja is mainly practiced to appease Nagas that may have been offended or injured by human activity, or to please Nagas that are active in areas where one wishes to live, work, or conduct business. Commonly associated with water, Nagas often live in springs, ponds, oceans, all places of water, trees, rocks, mountains and under the ground.
They are beings whose abilities include controlling the weather, bringing good fortune and wealth, and enhancing fertility and positivity. Conversely, Nagas can also inflict disease, obstacles, and natural disasters when displeased. Recent changes in climate and natural disasters caused by careless human activity alone is a good reason to learn more about Nagas and how we can create positive alliances with them.
