About this Event
Many people think that the only good insect is a dead insect, pests that should be squished. But insects are a diverse group and do a vast amount of good for people, birds and the planet. Their amazing beauty and their fascinating and astonishing lives should persuade even the worst insect skeptic to become an insect appreciator.
Join us September 21 at our quarterly Alliance Afternoon to learn from NVBA Board Member and insect expert, Judy Gallagher, all about these important creatures that form the foundation of food webs that sustain the birds around us!
We will gather informally starting at 2:30 PM in the cafeteria of the National Wildlife Federation Building located at 11100 Wildlife Center Drive, in Reston. We welcome you to bring snacks and drinks to share!
Any questions can be sent to event coordinator, McKenzie, at [email protected]. Registration is not required to attend but it sure does help staff with planning ahead!
