AllergyWise training for childminders and early years settings
Led by Tracey Dunn, Education and AllergyWise Manager join us for an interactive and informative training session designed to help childminders and early years settings handle allergies with confidence. This in-person event will take place at Fitzmaurice Primary School. Learn about common allergens, how to create allergy management plans, and emergency procedures. The course will cover:
Signs and symptoms of allergy and anaphylaxis
Responding in an emergency
Whole setting allergy awareness approach
Management of allergies including responsibilities, risk assessment, Allergy Action Plans
Administering adrenaline auto-injectors (EpiPen® and Jext®)
Storage of adrenaline auto-injectors
Tracey Dunn is a retired primary headtacher with over 30 years experience in education. She is a parent to two allergic children, one who is food allergic and carries EpiPens®. Previous Tracey was the education ambassador for Anaphlyaxis UK in a voluntary capacity and has worked with Wiltshire Council and School nurses to develop training.
