About this Event

Training developed by the North Carolina Child Care Health and Safety Resource Center covering allergies, anaphylaxis and emergency treatment in childcare. Participants will learn about allergies and common allergens, how to reduce the risk of developing allergies and reduce exposure to allergens, to recognize signs and symptoms of severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, become familiar with proper storage and use of epinephrine auto-injectors, how to follow emergency follow up procedures and about required documentation. This training meets the requirement of Article 1B of Chapter 90 of the General Statutes (90-21.15A) which requires mandatory training for child-serving individuals or entities that elect to acquire and stock a supply of epinephrine auto-injectors for emergency use: https://publichealth.nc.gov/wch/providers/anaphylaxis-training.htm)
