Allen Hurt has been entertaining music fans since an early age and has written over 1500 original songs, known for his unique tenor vocals that would become his trademark sound. Over the years, Allen’s music has been featured on radio and television stations throughout the U.S. and Europe.
Performing an exciting mix of Country and Americana music, his career has crossed paths with many music legends like Ray Price, who Allen toured with and shared the stage for many years along with other greats like Gene Watson, Johnny Lee, Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, Tom Petty, Three Dog Night and many more.
His musical talents have earned him 14 Gold and 2 Platinum music awards and was inducted into the Gatesville Texas Country Music Hall Of Fame in 2012 and received the Hall Of Fame Entertainer of The Year for 2013, Male Vocalist Of The Year for 2014, Male Vocalist of the year for 2015 and the distinguished Texas Star Award for 2016.
Continuing to write songs and play the music he loves, Allen proudly performs today with his band “The Music Showmen” and is also a member of the Country Music Association (CMA) and an honorary lifetime member of the Fort Worth Songwriters Association.
Allen performs as one of Americas leading entertainers and vocalist. During concerts, music lovers of all ages enjoy a spectacular showcase of his memorable hits like “Cup Of Coffee”, “Appalachian Lover” and “Well Over Due”, mixed with of diverse performance of hits by other top Country and Pop artist, while backed by some of the greatest tour musicians in the music business.
For decades Allen has toured and shared his songs with music fans around the world, from Texas to Europe, central Asia to south Mexico with venues ranging from small listening rooms to symphony halls.
Being a creative composer and lyricist, Allen still writes and produces new hit songs that are written from the heart about everyday life that we can all relate to in some way. Allen’s musical influences range from those artists of whom he was close to like Ray Price and Porter Wagoner, to those he also admired like, Vince Gill, George Straight, Phil Collins, Tom Petty, George Harrison and many others. His involvement in the music industry not only includes being an entertainer but also a recognized recording producer, studio engineer and longtime business owner of his record label, Arkansas based Mountain Valley Records that also represents other music artist. Allen also spent some time as a known radio personality for stations in Louisiana and Texas as host of a popular weekly top 40 count down show “This Week In Country Music” alongside the likes of radio icons such as Bob Kingsly, Bill Mac and Casey Kasem.
Allen’s songwriting has proved to be a productive venture as his discography would span over four decades with award winning albums such as “Always Country” featuring the song that quickly became a hugely popular line-dance favorite “Country Girl” that was self-produced and mastered. The album “The Long Road Back” featuring one of the most popular and more requested of the songs, “Appalachian Lover” and his self-titled album “Allen Hurt” featuring "Two Nights And A Heartache Later" as a single, and most recently one of his newest songs to be released as a single "You're there to hold me". Production is currently underway for his next full album.
