What's the Class like?
This workshop is open to all levels. It will be a Yin style class, which means long passive holds (2 to 5 or more minutes per posture). Yin is excellent for releasing stress and tension and loosening up the joints and connective tissues in the body. It's recommended to practice Yin once or twice a week and not to do any high intensity physical activity until the following day after this kind of practice. It is also a quiet practice, with guidance between poses, relaxing background music and time to just sit with yourself, breath into what is happening and be present. The session lasts 1h30, including the warm up, a cool down and the practice. This is a yoga/social event designed to bring together the Expat community in Paris for yoga and fun. Classes will be taught in English, but they are open for anyone to join.
What about the Brunch part?
After class we will head over to a local brunch spot for the social part of the event. Payment for brunch is seperate from payment for yoga. Once you have booked your spot for Yoga, you will be requested to confirm whether you want to participate in the brunch. A seperate group booking will be made. To help us wake up a bit after this very chilled session, we will take a 20 minute walk to our brunch venus "Marcelle" - A place which specialises in brunch and breakfast delights nearby Châtelet.
What do I need to bring?
Bring a towel, water, and your yoga mat if you have one (a hiking roll mat with a towel on top works too!). In Yin it's not necessary to use props, but it is sometimes nice to have a cushion or blanket for extra support, or an extra layer, as you won't heat the body too much. I will have a few yoga blocks to lend, but feel free to bring your own extra gear. You could also bring a change of clothes if you want to change after the yoga. There is no shower at the venue. I have 4 basic yoga mats I can also lend on request.

At Imperfect Yoga we believe Yoga should be fun. We will not tell you what to eat, incite you to do any prayer-like chanting, or tell you to change your lifestyle. But we will still take you on a journey within. By linking movement and breath in yoga, we explore the mind-body connection and we find our own path to enlightenment. For some people that just means chilling the f*** out for a minute :). No indoctrination, no judgement, no higher power, we just practice, and then we prolong it with a bit of good healthy fun and indulgence, because it shouldn't be about what you can and cannot do, but listening to ourselves and seeing and enjoying what is there.
