About the Workshop

In this workshop, you will lay the foundation for launching your podcast. You’ll learn how to produce a podcast - beginning with structuring your show through developing a podcast series. We’ll discuss the content pillars needed for a guideline, equipment needs, marketing your platform and scaling your brand.

Preparation

You should have a basic idea of what your podcast will be, why you want to start a podcast, and any challenges you are anticipating as you launch your podcast. For prep, consider 2-3 existing podcasts that reflect the vision you have for your podcast. Be sure to have a pen and paper for insights and ideas.

Ena Esco is a 22-year radio veteran currently broadcasting on Crosstown Concourse's WYXR 91.7FM. She is the creator of the Verbally Effective podcast with Ena Esco, a weekly topical interview-style podcast that intersects art, culture, politics and entertainment with a Memphis focus. Entering its fifth year, Verbally Effective has successfully cultivated a loyal listenership that has resulted in numerous live shows, television segments, expert speaking engagements, accolades, radio airplay, masterclass sessions, podcaster meet ups and merchandise.

Kelvin Woods is the host of Equity Tap Podcast and consults business owners to increase profits.

Benita C. Gordon is an eduprenueur, and founder and owner of Global Education Concierge BG, LLC. She is the host of The Education Concierge Podcast and an international speaker about education, from setting up podcasts to parent engagement to classroom management and more.
