All Teams Ages 5-16 (1PM-3PM) | Majorette Only (3:30PM-5:30PM)
When auditioning for our competition team, expect a process that includes demonstrating skills, learning new choreography, and potentially being cut or invited to callbacks. Expect to be assessed on your technical skills, choreography memorization, and overall performance presentation.️
Before Auditions: prepare a 45 sec solo that showcase what you do best
⭐ ALL TEAMS
Solo should include some of the following elements:
• La Seconde Battement
• Second Leap
• Grand Jeté
• Right or Left Split
• Double Pirouette
• Fouette Turns
• Leg Hold
• Calypso
⭐ Dress Code: Black Leotard, Black Dance Tights, Hair Pulled Back Neatly out the face, ballet and jazz shoes
⭐ FOR MAJORETTE DANCERS ONLY
Solo should include some of the following elements:
• Toe Touch
• Pop Up
• Heel Stretch
• Right or Left Split
• Pirouette
• Leap
• Strut️
⭐ Dress Code: White T-shirt, Black Leggings, Hair Pulled Back Neatly out the face
During auditions: you’ll be taught a combination to show assess your specific techniques, and potentially showcase your personality and express yourself through your dancing. Arriving prepared, comfortable, and confident is key.️
After Auditions: Audition results are usually posted after the final competition of the current season, typically 2 weeks after auditions. Continue to work on notes given by judges as there may be callbacks.
Preparation and Arrival: Arrive early: we recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early to warm up and mentally prepare.Warm-up and stretch: It's recommended to warm up and stretch before the audition.
Key RemindersProject personality: Show confidence, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.Be polite and respectful: Be friendly and respectful to other dancers and instructors.Give it your all: Leave your best performance on the floor.
Individual Auditions: If you cannot attend the scheduled audition, you may be able to arrange an individual audition.
