Celebrate the season of the ancestors with us at the Ritual Rhythms Creative Studio in Rogers Park with our annual All Souls Night show!
This year we will feature the debut of a new project by local favorite, Ultra-Violet Archer: her band, Only the Middle, featuring Mehtab Kirtan, Diondre Dunigan, and Christa Asha. Our featured dancers are Stacy, Carolina, and Kitty Khaos!
We will start the evening at 7pm with a short ritual for Samhain, seeing through the thin veil to the otherworld, followed by an opening set by house band Secrets of the Beehive, with a seasonal-themed set of originals, covers, and traditional tunes.
Doors will open at 6:30. Seating is limited! $25 suggested donation.

PERFORMERS

**ONLY THE MIDDLE**
Only The Middle is a collective formed by Ultra-Violet Archer, Diondre Dunigan, Mehtab Kirtan, and Christa Asha. They use instruments and voices to explore the edges and centers of heartfull human expression. Hark!
Ultra-Violet Archer is a singer, songwriter, and sound-collage maker from Chicago. She draws inspiration from natural and urban soundscapes, her Celtic and Appalachian roots, the soundscapes of community, and by that specific shade of deep blue the sky turns just before sunrise and just after sunset.

**SECRETS OF THE BEEHIVE**
Formed in 2014 by singer/songwriter Jason Winslade as a fireside meditation with a shruti box, Secrets of the Beehive has evolved into a post-punk folk rock trio with Jason on vocals, melodica, and percussion, Davis Krieg on guitars and Brett Taylor on acoustic fretless bass. For this event, they will be joined by Julian Daniell on drums and percussion and will be performing their “Samhain set” with originals, covers, and traditional tunes.

**KITTY KHAOS**
Kitty brings fluid chaos to the stage, playfully blending improv fusion belly dance, pop and lock, flow arts and many other dances styles She is a student of Dawn Xiana Moon, Kamrah Raks, Lee na Moon and Tila von Twirl, and is deeply influenced by Eva la Feva, Bazuka Joe, Willy la Que and Mocha Mocha 2.0. She has been dancing with Wicked Fox Fusion, the student troupe for Raks Inferno, for a year and enjoys costuming, cooking and neuroscience.

**STACY**
A dedicated belly dancer for over 18 years, Stacy has spent the majority of her dance journey training under the renowned Sonya at Arabesque Dance Studio, and spent many years dancing with troupe Ro-He. Here she honed her technique and stage presence, and deep love for Middle Eastern dance. Though Arabesque has since closed, the foundation built there continues to inspire her artistic expression!

**CAROLINA**
Born and raised in Mexico City, Carolina discovered her passion for raqs sharqi in 2023. Although dance has been part of her life, she discovered the raqs sharqi classes by Phaedra Darwish where she has been learning this dance culturally but mostly enjoying herself in this journey.
