About this Event
Hatha yoga involves breath, body, and mind. These classes consist of moving the
body, practicing different poses, also called asanas. In every class, we are finding the
breath by recognizing YOUR breath in YOUR body or, through specific breathing
techniques. In Sankrit, the word “hatha” can be translated two ways: as “willful” or
“forceful,” or the yoga of activity, and as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha), the yoga of
balance. So, we will be balancing your body, breath and mind in this class through
movement and meditation.
Benefits to Hatha Yoga:
● Increased balance and strength
● Better flexibility
● Enhanced mindfulness
● Reduced stress
● Improves lung function
