Welcome to the All-Island Forum on Cancer Data 2026!
The All-Island Forum on Cancer Data will convene leading experts, researchers, clinicians, and policymakers from across the island of Ireland to explore innovative approaches for harnessing cancer data to improve research, treatment, and patient outcomes.
Hosted at Queen’s University Belfast, this two-day forum will provide a platform for dialogue and collaboration focused on the strategic development of data infrastructures, ethical governance, and capacity building across the cancer research ecosystem.
The forum will address key thematic areas including:
- Enabling Research through Data Innovation – Advancing federated data spaces and artificial intelligence-driven methodologies to support cancer research.
- Accelerating Access to Clinical Trials and Medicines – Leveraging data to streamline clinical development and reimbursement pathways.
- Inaugural OHDSI Ireland Node Joint Meeting and Workshop – The first in-person gathering of the OHDSI Ireland community to foster collaboration and shared learning.
- Ethical Data Sharing – Ensuring trust, transparency, and patient benefit through responsible and secure data governance frameworks.
- Addressing the Real-World Data Skills Gap – Building analytical and technical capacity to meet the evolving needs of healthcare and research.
The All-Island Forum on Cancer Data is organised as part of the eHealthHub for Cancer initiative, supported by the Higher Education Authority, North South Research Programme.
This event aims to advance a coordinated, cross-border roadmap for cancer data collaboration, translating data innovation into tangible impacts for cancer research and care across the island of Ireland.
