With racial and ethnic tensions rising between their communities, activist Rabbi Rachel Timoner and Baptist Reverend Robert Waterman join forces to unite their congregations. Seeking peace and equality, they set a plan in motion to trade pulpits, worship together, break bread monthly, start a joint choir, and hopefully become a family. But the road is bumpy and their faith is often shaken as both congregations struggle not to let their differences drive them apart. All God’s Children follows their journey and asks if this can be a model for other communities.Preceded by a performance by the Boston Community Gospel Choir.
Followed by a conversation with Director Ondi Timoner, Rabbi Rachel Timoner, and Reverend Robert Waterman, moderated by Rav Tiferet Berenbaum.
Screening as part of the Joyce Pastor (z”l) Interfaith Relations Film Series.
