About this Event

"This is a terrific opportunity to enjoy a world-class concert by Syracuse Area Music Award artists and Hall of Fame inductees," explains Ready2RecoverCNY Co-Executive Director Ed Gabriel, "while helping to battle opioid addiction in our backyard."

$25.00 advance tickets may be purchased at Eventbrite. Tickets will be $30.00 at the door. There will be refreshments available and a chance auction at intermission. All proceeds will be used to help save lives in Central New York.

“All Folked Up” is an evening of great music featuring three powerhouse acts on one stage:

Loren Barrigar was born to play the guitar, almost literally, appearing on the stage of Nashville's hallowed Grand Ol’ Opry at the ripe old age of six. His gift was evident from the start, and he has since gone on to fulfill that promise with a career of star-studded performances and recordings, touring the world with the International Guitar Duo (Loren and Mark Mazengarb), and being hand-picked by guitar sensation Tommy Emmanuel to be Tommy’s opening act. Loren’s son, LJ, is fast following in his dad’s footsteps as a gifted musician, and now, performing together, they are creating the best guitar music in Central New York.

The Cadleys have been entertaining audiences throughout Upstate New York and New England with their powerful mix of traditional bluegrass, “new acoustic” a la Alison Krauss, and many of John’s originals, which have been recorded by national artists such as Jim Hurst, Missy Raines, world renowned banjo player Tony Trischka, and Lou Reid, who, with his band Carolina, took John’s song “Time” to the #1 spot on the bluegrass music charts, where it remained for three months and was performed by Lou, Vince Gill, and Ricky Skaggs on The Grand Ol’ Opry. The Cadleys deliver a show that offers everything an audience comes go see: hair-raising harmony singing, virtuoso musicianship, entertaining audience rapport, and the feeling that they’ve enjoyed a truly special night of music.

Gritty, buttery, and soul-piercing have all been used to describe the vocals of Donna Colton. A seasoned veteran of the local music scene, her songwriting and CDs have garnered national and international attention. Solo showcases at the legendary Bitter End and Spiral Club in New York City and at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville led to live performances for national TV and radio shows. In 2009 she became one of the few women to be inducted into the Syracuse Area Music Awards Hall of Fame. Colton will be joined on stage by her husband and bandmate, Sam Patterelli, AKA Sam Troublemaker, making music they call an acoustic tangle of Broken Folk and Twang Rock.

Ready2RecoverCNY (R2RCNY) is a CNY nonprofit that helps fund long-term inpatient substance use disorder treatment for qualified CNY adults who have tried outpatient and short-term inpatient options and have been unsuccessful, and who do not have the insurance or financial resources to pay for long-term treatment. The organization helps fund long-term treatment based on a physical, emotional, and spiritual solution, leading to a lifetime path of recovery and freedom from addiction. Long-term treatment includes 90 days of inpatient treatment, followed by 90 days of sober living and coaching. So far, they have helped 35 people. Donations accepted at www.r2rcny.org and on their Facebook page.
