About this Event
5 Artists 1 Love is one of Edmonton’s longest-standing Black arts organizations dedicated to showcasing the artistic vibrancy and range of Edmonton’s Black, Caribbean, and African communities. Our extremely popular event, the "All Black Wear Gallery Affair" is back, continuing a legacy of art, style, and Black excellence.
This free/pay-what-you-can, community-forward event brings together art lovers, culture shapers, and creatives for an evening of visual art, live entertainment, food, and connection in one of downtown Edmonton’s most iconic spaces, in the heart of the Arts District. We have been building a community for 20 years thanks to your support, and we aren’t stopping anytime soon!
What to expect:
- Exhibition opening for 5 Artists 1 Love featuring 20 multi-disciplinary alumni artists
- Live performances & entertainment including DJ Kwake and Marimba Group
- Afro-centric food and refreshments from local restaurants
- A custom black and white portrait booth from Be My Guest Portraits
- A welcoming, high-energy gallery atmosphere with more than 1,000 attendees dressed to impress in all black throughout the night!
- More details on our 2026 5A1L 20th Anniversary programming!
Additional Details:
Admission is free, with an optional pay-what-you-can donation supporting 5 Artists 1 Love’s 20th anniversary programming in 2026. While the estimated ticket value is $70+, we suggest a $20 contribution if you’re able. Donations are appreciated but never required — cost should never be a barrier to accessing community-centered art.
