About this Event
For those interested, the Hawaiʻi Able Savings Program staff will be giving two presentations on The ABLE (Achieving a Better Life Experience) Program based on the ABLE Act of 2014. The Act allows people with disabilities who are receiving government benefits, and their families, a financial tool to put money aside for purchases to enhance their quality of life without risking the loss of those benefits (like SSI and Medicaid).
Did you know that if you have an ABLE account you can save and invest up to $18,000 a year for a wide range of eligible expenses!
If you or any of your loved ones would like to find out more information about this program, please join us! Please note that this is an informational program only, no feedback will be provided on existing or future applications for the ABLE program. If you would like to attend this program, please sign up at the Reference desk, or call our library at: (808)733-8422 so we may have a head count for the number of pamphlets we need to make.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged but not required. All programs are subject to change. See a schedule of upcoming events at librarieshawaii.org/events.
