Anyone can get involved in amateur astronomy. Join us at the September meeting of the Tar River Astronomy Club for an up close look at our nearest celestial neighbor, the Moon! Astronomy educator Steve Schmidt will present an illustrated slide talk, "All About Our Moon," at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2025. This talk is for ALL AGES and museum admission is FREE for program participants! We'll discuss upcoming club activities and how you can participate in our "INTERNATIONAL OBSERVE THE MOON NIGHT," which takes place in October at Braswell Memorial Library.
