As you prepare for guardianship for your soon-to-be adult child, you face the challenge of needing to protect your child, while making every effort to preserve his or her autonomy and rights. This Learning Institute will provide a thorough explanation of not only the guardianship process, but also the different options beyond full guardianship. Discussion will focus on guardianship, limited guardianship, conservatorship, powers of attorney and health care proxy directives. The goal will be to teach you the appropriate steps in attaining guardianship and help you feel confident that you are making the right decision.
