Champagne baby!In this very special 2 hours long tasting and workshop I will take you on an adventure in the land of bubbles. From Cava, to Sekt, Champagne and more, we will explore the most emblematic sparkling wines of Europe and get to know them better. What's the difference between Prosecco and Crémant? How do you make a Champagne Rosé? Is Sekt always cheaper? And most importantly - how to get the most bang for you buck?
If those questions speak to you, then this tasting is made for you. Whether you're a wine connaisseur or total beginner, if you're a sparkling wine lover I want to share a glass with you.
Not only will we learn how to taste different sparkling wines and how they are made, but we'll also talk about the occasions and foods you can pair them with. The perfect thing to attend if you're trying to impress this holiday season. This will be a fun and boozy night, open to all. It doesn'´t require any prior knowledge.
The ticket includes:
- 5 glasses of sparkling wine
- Food catering (vegetarian, French cheese included of course!) / water
Attendance is limited to 14 people .
Tickets are fully refundable up to 48 hours prior to the event, and partially up until 24 hours before. Please note that, being a very small business, I am not able to refund tickets in the last 24 hours before the event.
The workshop will be run in English.
A bout your instructor: My name is Anaïs and I am the sommelière at the Michelin star restaurant "Bricole", in Prenzlauerberg. I also teach wine with my company "Wine x Anais" and love sharing my passion for wine in a way that is fun and approachable - from bar and restaurant staff trainings, to courses for amateurs. My expertise is on French and German wines, specifically. No matter your level, my goal is for you to leave this workshop with more confidence and understanding of wine than you had before!
A bout the location: QG - Café Français, formerly known as Schmilblick Café, is located in the pleasant and family-friendly neighbourhood of Samarieter.
Known in the neighbourhood and in Berlin for its delicious French pastries, its warm atmosphere and its friendly staff, the Café is back on April 1st after closing for renovation! Fancy a little French escapade? This is the place for you!
