Join us in the West Charleston Library Art Gallery and enjoy the vibrant colors of beautiful floral African Violet displays. Then, head into the Lecture Hall and learn all about African Violets and what is takes to grow them in the desert during one or all of the following lectures:

11:00am: Judging Violets 101 - An Overview of African Violet Shows and what Judges Consider in Making Their Decisions, presented by Joyce Stork.
12:00pm: The Story Of A Leaf - Propagating America’s Houseplant from Cuttings, presented by Mark Romanksy
1:00pm: Two Essentials + Three Tips for Happy Violets - The Basics of Growing African Violets in the Desert, presented by Joyce Stork
2:00pm: Happy Trails - An Introduction to Trailing African Violets, presented by Shawn Edwards
3:00pm: My First Year Growing African Violets, presented by Kim Cowl

Participants will be given a leaf that will be planted for them to help start growing their own plant at home!
Free and open to the public. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
