About this Event
AliWALL Festival is a culmination of participative art experiences that redefine the walls – both physical and metaphorical – as canvases to unite artists and audiences closer to collectively consider what urban living is, now and for the future.
For its debut under the theme “The Dreamer”, AliWALL Festival brings contrasting worlds of fantasy and reality, both indoors and outdoors to Aliwal Arts Centre for a weekend-only showcase from 21st to 23rd January 2022. The Dreamer unfolds in three parts across the premises to draw new imaginations with activities that seek to uplift and engage visitors.
The Festival highlights include Reality in Construction, an outdoor participative mural interpreting our capricious realities, and Permission to Dream, an indoor immersive audio-visual experience designed for you to dream unbound. Exclusively on 22 Jan, Saturday, there will also be an urban art market and live tattoo sessions.

Being presented for the first time are site-specific artworks and commissions by Spaz and TraseOne from urban collective RSCLS, visual artists Has.J, Howie Kim, Kristal Melson, Slacsatu, and performers Ammar "Ameezy", Sandhya Suresh, Sonia Kwek and Tysha Khan. AliWALL Festival 2022: The Dreamer is curated by Tulika Ahuja (Mama Magnet).

Vaccination-differentiated Safe Management Measures (VDS)
Kindly note that Festival audiences attending AliWALL Festival 2022 will have to be fully vaccinated. Only individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 within 180 days, medically ineligible for COVID-19 vaccination, and children aged 12 years and below may be exempted from Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures (VDS).

*Each slot is 45 minutes. Please arrive within the first thirty minutes of the time slot you have booked in order to have sufficient time to experience the festival programmes. Due to COVID-19 SMM measures, Aliwal Arts Centre reserves the rights to admit visitors on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority entry will be given to ticket holders.
