Edinburgh Folk Club is pleased to welcome Alistair McCulloch and Aaron Jones.
Alistair McCulloch is known as one of Scotland's favourite performers, teachers and composers. A fiddle champion and former soloist with the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra, Alistair performs and teaches around the world, and is currently a fiddle instructor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, tutoring many rising stars and fiddle champions of the future. Alistair often plays as part of a Trio with Aaron Jones & Marc Duff.
Aaron Jones is an exceedingly sought after accompanists in the trad music scene, touring around the world on a regular basis with Old Blind Dogs, as well as the likes of Kate Rusby, Siobhan Miller, Claire Mann, Emily Smith, Robyn Stapleton and many more. One of his most recent (and very successful) collaborations has been with Rachael Walker. After the release of their album “despite the rain and wind”, they were nominated in 2023 for 'Band of the Year' at the Scots Trad Music Awards.
