Alissa Arnason
Influenced by the landscape of the stark prairies she originated from, Alissa Arnason offers a haunting, timeless performance of country-folk songs. She performs a collection of released and unreleased songs, each crafted amidst emotional experiences of scorpionic depth, with themes ranging from romanticized weather patterns to heartbreak, her stories weave between light and darkness.
Talel Macbriar
BC-based singer-songwriter, Talel McBriar, merges traditional folk with alternative rock influences to produce songs that ring with honest lyrics and raw melodies. Evident in her debut EP titled Flood Season, Talel's writing distills her experiences into authentic and insightful ballads. "Talel effortlessly conveys her discomfort with the present times in a way I once thought required three or four times her life experience," says Josh Lehman, producer of The 6 Mile Sessions. In 2018, her original song titled ‘October’ won her and her bandmate, Ella Korth, a Kootenay Music Award for ‘Best Original Roots Song.’ Her debut EP release titled Flood Season was released in July 2022 via indie label Catapult Recordings.
