Recognized with honors including the UCA Fellowship in Music and the Distinguished Achievement Award from the International Bluegrass Music Association, Brown was inducted into the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame in 2019. She is also the founder of Compass Records and co-chair of the coveted Steve Martin Banjo Prize.
