Oglethorpe Out Loud is an annual series celebrating creative expression.This special literary event will be held Mar. 20 in Oglethorpe’s Philip Weltner Library, inviting students and the community to immerse themselves in a spoken-word performance of poems and stories. The event is free and open to the public.
This year, Oglethorpe welcomes author, educator and OU Alum Aline Mello '12 as the featured artist. She will read selections from her personal and published work, including excerpts from her poetry collection "More Salt than Diamond." Many of her works explore themes of culture, identity, and a desire to belong.
