Unapologetically authentic and laced with a heavy taste of dark humour, Meat Hook is an alternative, unconventional album that is in equal parts beautiful and horrifying; romantic and unnerving; vulnerable and fierce; innocent and ominous.
Driven by Alice’s exceptional vocal range, these songs drift, often uneasily, between pretty and tender melodic lines to dissonant cries of suppression and resistance, captivating the listener from first whisper to final surrender.Accompanied throughout by long time co-conspirator, Kieran 'sonic-art' Harrington on double bass and a solid rock trio, Meat Hook seeks to "comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable".
